Why do wrinkles appear?

Face wrinkles start to appear due to the natural ageing process. As the skin gets more mature, it loses collagen and elastin fibres and hyaluronic acid that support the outer layer. The dermis or the skin inner layer starts to get thinner. So, the skin surface begins to change and fine lines and wrinkles start to get noticeable. Also, the glands that secrete oil lessen their effectiveness so the skin can’t retain moisture and starts to look wrinkled.
